Stuart Devonshire, BA(Hons) BArch ADPPA RIBA
Stuart Devonshire completed his training at The University of Liverpool in 2002, passing with distinction. He was awarded the Sir Charles Reilly Medal for the best thesis design project, was nominated for the RIBA’s President’s Silver Medal and was profiled in Building Design magazine as one of the top graduates of that year.
Subsequently, he worked for John Outram Associates and then Project Orange from 2002 – 2005; both award winning practices. At Project Orange he worked on several high specification domestic projects, a mixed-use development in King’s Cross and a conversion and extension of a Victorian pub into residential units. He was involved in the interior design of large scale hotel projects both in London and Dublin. He also designed the exhibition space for London’s first architectural biennale.
Stuart later moved to Archial Architects in Bedford where he was involved in numerous commercial and educational projects from inception to completion including an £80m feasibility scheme for Milton Keynes College, new build classroom blocks, and the refurbishment of Bedford School’s Kitchen and Dining Hall.
Stuart is a visiting critic at The University of Liverpool, and currently sits on the Bedfordshire Association of Architects Committee.
