62 rosamond road was a typical 1930's three bed room semi-detached property that was extended and expanded to meet the client's specific & contemporary brief. The property was substantially extended with a rendered two storey side to rear addition and to the rear a feature Cedar board clad single storey kitchen area.
The rendered portion of the design has a tradition form that ties together the existing 30's style, whilst in stark contrast the single storey rear element, with its wide opening concertina doors and angled roof lights adds a contemporary punch that relates directly to the rear garden area.
The overal scheme has added two bathrooms, an additional master bedroom and enlarged the front box room. Downstairs not only has there been a large open kitchen area created, but specifically and to meet the cultural family requirements an internal bicycle park has been incorporated; you can literally cycle into the house!
