high street, little odell
This project, in rural north Bedfordshire, was a complete remodelling and refurbishment of a 18C stone cottage. The existing layout had been organically developed during the 1960s and contained an externally accessed bedroom and excessive amounts of corridor space.
The solution involved re-constructed the split level areas at the northern section of the cottage. 2 new openings were created in the existing stone dividing wall, providing internal access through to the newly constructed northern end.
A new kitchen over-looking the gardens and an ensuite hidden behind curved timber stairs now occupy the newly opened up areas of the house.
