mk40 architects have designed a 525sqm new build house in Chorelywood, Hertfordshire. The original 1930’s house on the ½ acre plot of land was completely demolished and planning was obtained for a three storey Georgian style property with fantastic views over the countryside to the front of the plot.
It is a traditionally designed house, with particular attention given to its proportions, materials and detailing. Good quality brickwork, traditionally installed sash windows along with attention to detailing on the roof lights, eaves and parapets ensures the house is of a high specification.
Internally the house is spread over three floors. On the ground floor a large living room links with a kitchen / family room both enjoying large sliding glazed doorsonto the patio area at the rear of the house. On the upper 2 floors there are 6 bedrooms, 3 with ensuite bathrooms. The large master suite has a large dressing room with a spacious ensuite area and fantastic views over the countryside.
